Happy Easter!

I've been so busy & not had time to post so having a little catch up. These were my Easter cupcakes, cute bunny bums & mini egg gardens

Lilac & Lemon Birdcage

 I made this birdcage style cake for a special 80th birthday. I've wanted to try this style for a long time & very happy how it turned out. The trailing flowers are gorgeous & the large ruffle flower worked so well. The bottom of this cake was a poly dummy & unfortunately you can see the ridge, next time I'd add an extra layer of ganache to try & conceal this.

Lego Brick

The birthday boy requested a big orange Lego brick so that's what he got! I love Lego & thought this brick turned out great! Hoping to make lots more of these in the future :-) I also made iced cookies for the party favours, not my finest hour (or 12!) but they turned out ok. I'll not be making them again though, far too time consuming :-( I'll be sticking to the cakes!!
